US Senator Brown Endorses Brennan in 4th Suffolk

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 19, 2010

BROWN TO BRENNAN: PAT'S YOUR GUY

BOSTON - Patrick Brennan, Republican candidate for State Representative in the Fourth Suffolk District which includes South Boston and parts of Dorchester, announced today that he had earned the endorsement of U.S. Senator Scott Brown.

Winning Southie played a significant political role in Brown's historic victory in January and Brennan was a key organizer in the resurgence of the South Boston Republican Committee.

Sen. Brown said: "Voters of the 4th Suffolk District and across Massachusetts want political balance in state government, and that's why I am endorsing Patrick Brennan as the next State Representative from South Boston and Dorchester. I am confident Patrick will fight for more jobs and lower taxes, and as a CPA he understands that government cannot spend more than it takes in. I am proud to support his bid for state representative."

"I am humbled and proud to have Senator Brown's endorsement," said Brennan. "As I listen to voters across the 4th Suffolk District, I feel the same energy and 'Massachusetts Momentum' as in January of 2010. I'm ready to bring fiscal responsibility to Beacon Hill and will stand up for the taxpayers as your next State Representative."

WHY? (0.00 / 0)
Patrick brennan is the left running candidate.  As a life long Southie Republican,  I can say for sure that real southie democrats like steve lynch and nick collins are further right than the majority of Mass republicans including patrick brennan. When asked at a debate if they supported no state tax for active duty military, collins said no question and brennan said "where are we going to recover that revenue?"  Hes more concerned with keeping revenue than cutting waste.  Also as a member of Mass Citizens for Life, I can say collins was endorsed and brennan was not.  Lastly, patrick brennan voted in the 2008 presidential democratic primary.  Patick brennan is an opportunist trying to ride the scott brown wave to get a supplemental income to go with his cpa business, hes not interested in fixing problems.

I ask all southie repubs to join me in voting in the most conservative candidate in the race nick collins and not for another loony lefty in a red jacket!!!
