(Is it indictment week? - promoted by Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno)
During the second half of 2011, Senate President Therese Murray hired the law firm of Collora LLP using her campaign account. Office of Campaign and Political Finance records show that she spent a total of almost $5000 over three months with the firm. According to those same records it is the first time she's spent money with the firm.
The firm, according to it's website, specializes in helping the targets of investigations, navigate through them.
Shape Fate
We don't accept fate, we shape it.
Collora LLP is a boutique Boston law firm committed to solving our clients' complex legal problems. We never wait for resolutions to present themselves or settle for what appears to be the inevitable result. We relentlessly pursue our clients' goals. We help them shape their fate.
The advertisement at the left makes one wonder, exactly what investigation is the Senate President the Target of? Murray is specifically mentioned in the Ware Report as having asked for people to be hired by the Probation Department. She is also tied for seventh on the list of the top twenty recipients of Probation Department employee donations. Is Terry Murray a target of the US Department of Justice's investigation?
Yesterday, as reported here, a contributor to Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly said, on twitter, that targets may be trading up. Is Murray in the cross-hairs? If so perhaps that's why she hired a firm that advertises:
If you're the target of an investigation, you don't have to just accept it. With the right legal team, there's no such thinga s an inevitable outcome. We can help you shape your fate, change course, and get back on track.
It's going to be an interesting week. |
