MA GOP Training today in Westboro

( - promoted by Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno)

I just have to say great Job!  Peter Blute was the master of ceremonies and did a great job.  Peter was the first speaker going over the do's and don't of how to be a good candidate.  Our next guess speaker Chris Faulkner of Gridiron Communications was extremely knowledgeable.  His key points be organized, treat your volunteers with respect and don't waste their time.  He was a wealth of knowledge and has worked on many many big name campaigns.  During lunch - good job there to, Michael Sullivan from OCPF spoke and sorry Michael your name is on Red Mass, went over the basics of OCPF do's and don'ts and he stressed the point, he and his staff is there to help the candidate.  And I can attest that his staff is very helpful.  They have worked with me many times in the past.  After lunch was the high energy High Sheriff Lew Evangelidis,  Lew went over how he was able to run such great organized campaigns.  Always a pleasure seeing Lew.  Our last speaker of the day was Rob Willington who touched on the digital world and what is out there to make the internet work for you.  Great day guys, one thought in the future can you have two different trainings, one geared towards the local races and one geared to the state wide races.  All in all this was a good training.  Kudos guys!

My Highlight? (0.00 / 0)
i made Mike Sullivan lose his impartiality! It's ok Mike. We all laughed after the shock wore off.

Great training session (0.00 / 0)
Great breakdown of today's event. Each of the speakers did a great job breaking everything down and giving the best advice from the biggest state races to the smallest school committee races.

Peter Blute was also a great emcee. Him & Lew were, as you would expect, the life of the party.

Sorry to miss it (0.00 / 0)
I'm sorry to have missed such a great event.  I try to attend as many of these trainings as possible both as a Candidates Committee member and for my own personal enrichment but as luck would have it my car needs to be taken into the shop tomorrow for a fix that I can only pray is convered by the 10-year powertrain warranty.

On the plus side, I know that the registrations were so packed that would-be attendees had to be turned away.  As such, while it was my loss... I'm very happy to know that my slot didn't go to waste.  I had gotten a call late last week of a possible candidate seeking to go and with my car troubles, I was even more willing and happy to relinquish my seat for their entrance.

There are great things starting to happen, let's keep it going, improve where we must, and make Election Day 2012 a truly memorable date.
