Two-time OIF Combat Veteran Announces Congressional Bid against Stephen Lynch

by: temperley4congress

Mon Jan 30, 2012 at 12:49:12 PM EST

( - promoted by Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno)

DSCF0059
Matt Temperley, a combat arms 1st Lieutenant in the Massachusetts  ARNG, will have his campaign kickoff on February 9th at the "Quincy Sons of Italy" social center in Quincy, MA. When the Iraq War was ramping up in 2003, Matt enlisted in the Army by walking into a recruiting station in Southern Illinois. In 2004, Matt was deployed with the 1st Cavalry Iraq where he fought the Mahdi Army in the streets of Sadr' City. Five years later, he returned to Iraq as a scout Platoon Leader with a cavalry unit from the Texas ARNG. Upon return from his second combat tour, he moved to Quincy to finish his master and start a new life.

The candidate explains that his decision to run for congress derives from the fact that, over the last decade, career politicians have been pushing our country towards decline. He cites the examples of Barney Franks and Stephen Lynch, both members of the Financial Services Committee, who openly took contributions from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Citi Group, Bank of America, etc. All this happening while many Americans were facing foreclosures. As Matt Temperley concludes "Is time for the New Generation to take over."
