Random Crap

by: David Whelan

Fri Feb 03, 2012 at 14:58:21 PM EST

( - promoted by Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno)

1) Turns out some people are fussing over Scott Brown paying his daughter out of his campaign account. Just wondering how that's any worse than Therese Murray paying her legal bills from her campaign account.

2) Speaking of Murray, is Tim's political career over? Why not turn over the cell records unless there is something to hide?

3) Read recently that Deval signed a deal to write two more books. Funny!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/...

4) 4.5% increase in state revenue and we have a budget problem?

5) If Newt's wife and Donald Trump had a kid, what would the kid's hair look like?

6) Myra Kraft must have been one hell of a great woman.

7) Rick Santorum has no chance of winning, but appears to be the most likeable of the remaining four GOP candidates.

8) Kindle Fire or Nook?

9) I just can't see Steve Grossman as a candidate for Governor.

10) Pats 31 Giants 24. MVP - BenJarvus Green-Ellis

and back at you (0.00 / 0)
There is nothing Scott Brown can do that will change liberals minds about him. "Scott Brown saves drowning child in obvious attempt to win public support" - BMG

The only news that Murray can get now is bad news (Housing, or whatever mystery he is hiding comes out). He is just hoping the Probation scandal takes center stage for a while

Deval's first book sold 10,000 copies. Whippee.

I read a long article on Trump's hair (I think it was HuffPo). It's a three-way cross weave, basically comb-overs from each side and the back, interlaced. Callista I don't know. I was intrigued by the Margery Egan bit about "other woman as first lady" though.

Santorum....as I recall he wasn't particularly well thought of as a Senator.

Grossman would be great.....for the Republican ticket.

Pat win.

Someone wrote a "long" article on Trump's hair? (0.00 / 0)
Good read!

Friday Afternoon Dump (0.00 / 0)
1. Its very interesting to hear people saying that Scott should stiff the band members and working staff.  He should have paid her from federal stimulus dollars, that would have been okay.

2. Its not over till he says its over.  He's being real quiet.

3. So a man who did not even cover his advance on the last book gets advances for two more.  And people complain when Maginn hires Republicans to work for his company?

4. Its not that we have a budget problem, we have a revenue problem.  We need more and more to cover the increases in health care, wages and pensions.  Just wonder what happens when we actually start funding pension and post-retirement medical care.  If it doesn't move tax it, if moves tax it before it gets across the border.

5. Not sure about the hair, but would be something to see.

6. Absolutely

7. Not sure.  There's something there that I cannot quite grasp yet, but it is just beneath the surface.  A quirky feeling that there is a secret somewhere and a big one.

8. Actual book.

9. Grossman v. Baker.  Just get a chill thinking about the debates - Yawn.

10. Pats 19 Giants 17

11. Indictments released Tuesday during Pats victory parade.

Grossman already was a candidate for Governor (0.00 / 0)
But you're excused if you didn't notice; I think he only campaigns after dark. Who has more charisma, Grossman or Galvin?

I understand not many of the first book sold (0.00 / 0)
So two more? Yes, that is "funny".  But I won't be buying those either.

Isn't Deval on the short list for VP? (0.00 / 0)
He didn't get picked the last time, so that was a failed gamble.  They decided to gamble again.  If he were to become Obama's VP then any book he wrote would sell like hot cakes.

7) Ron Paul is more likable.

8) They are essentially the same.  Why get a tablet with a 7in screen anyways?

9) Steve Grossman is their Charlie Baker.

10) Pats lose.

You killed my only other double, I'm afraid. After his death, volunteers were understandably... rather scarce.

rundown (0.00 / 0)
1)  She did it too really isn't an answer.  If we can do better, shouldn't we?  Why make something an issue when it's in your control not to?

2)  Probably

3)  Smells of a presidential run in 2016, which he has no chance of winning

7) He always struck me as the looking like an 80's action movie villain.  Like he should be the antagonist in Die Hard or Lethal Weapon.

8)  For what?  Ebooks only go with the older kindle, but if you want table functionality... can't go wrong with either Nook or Fire.

10) Pats 31 Giants 28, gonna be close.  Brady gets the MVP because when hasn't the QB or greater than life (in the medias eyes) receiver got it?  But I would want the law firm to get one this time.

Re: Deval (0.00 / 0)
I call Senate run in 2014.

If you are actually interested in reading ebooks... (0.00 / 0)
I looked at a Nook Touch today and was very impressed.  Nice form factor with a crisp readable screen that may even fit in a coat pocket much like a mass market paperback would (difficult to test this out in store...).  Only $99.

I already have a Nook 1st gen device and it is far and away better than the Kindle if you never plan on buying an ebook.  Supports epub and library lending.  Supposedly, Kindle will in the future support lending from the library but as far as I know it doesn't yet.

Kindle Fire (0.00 / 0)
Kindle fire can run the Nook app, something to keep in mind.
