Andrew Breitbart dead at 43.

by: V

Thu Mar 01, 2012 at 09:52:25 AM EST

( - promoted by Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno)

Reports are surfacing that conservative media personality Andrew Breitbart has died of a "massive heart attack" this morning.  Shocking news indeed.  Breitbart was only 43 years old.

Recently, Breitbart announced that he was in possession of video tapes of President Obama in college and that vetting of Obama would be more substantive this time around.

Not one for conspiracy theories myself, I'm sure they will abound in the coming days.

V :: Andrew Breitbart dead at 43.
With a terrible feeling of pain and loss we announce the passing of Andrew Breitbart.

Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.

We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior.

The left will go cross-eyed, trying to suppress their delight and maintain a solemn expression.

Look for huffington to put on extra moderators, so as to not embarrass itself.

Michelle Malkin includes some left wing "sensitivity" in her piece about Andrew.  This is when the truly despicable show their stripes.

Natural causes at age 43... That's just about the worst thing that can happen to a family. May God look out for his poor wife and kids.

He was a master at what he did.   We owe it to him to continue to fight the good fight.....

Read it here.

I guess it shows what people really think of both of them.  It shows they respected the power of the stories Bretibart brought forth, and it shows how corrupt many people think Obama is.

Andrew Breitbart R.I.P. (5.00 / 1)
Wow, what a gut punch, what can I say. Have to say something though, so here goes

Andrew Breitbart was the best grassroots conservative warrior in the world, bar none.

No one could match his energy, his bravery, his brilliance and most of all his results. He had the rare ability to communicate his core principles in a way that resonated and captivated people. He delivered his message with passion, and it was the right message.

But as big as Andrew's bark was, hit bite was bigger. Among Andrew's many concrete achievements, he decimated the vast American cancer known as ACORN. He took down liberal golden boy and arrogant nut Anthony Weiner. And he did these things brilliantly, and fearlessly, despite being lampooned by the media and called every name in the book (predominately: "liar") along the way.

Andrew called out the left for what it is, he named them, he exposed them. He shined a bright light on the rot which is their poisonous worldview and all of its many real world manifestations. No wonder the left hated him so much.

When I last saw Andrew Breitbart speak, he entreated the audience to join him in his efforts.

Now he's gone, but maybe its not too late for us to listen.

FRUM (2.50 / 2)
FRUM on Breitbart:

"This is where it becomes difficult to honor the Roman injunction to speak no ill of the dead. It's difficult for me to assess Breitbart's impact upon American media and American politics as anything other than poisonous. When one of the leading media figures of the day achieves his success by his giddy disdain for truth and fairness-when one of our leading political figures offers to his admirers a politics inflamed by rage and devoid of ideas-how to withhold a profoundly negative judgment on his life and career? Especially when that career was so representative of his times?"

Very sad that someone so young was robbed of a full life, but I find myself nodding to Frums assessment on his accomplishments.

spoken like someone (0.00 / 0)
who has imbibed the usual leftist koolaid.  Will any leftist ever question liberal orthodoxy, or their "villains"?  Not without turning into a neo-con, it seems.

Breitbart was the one telling the truth, pal.

Breitbart told people what they wanted to hear, (5.00 / 1)
And he made a killing doing it.  It's not surprising he was very good friends with Huffington and Drudge.

There's a lot of koolaide being drunk, and it's ripping the party apart.  Clowns like Breitbart and Beck might rouse passions, but they're hurtful to the party's future.

When our leaders and thinkers are people who's only effort is to keep us listening to sell books and ad revenue, we've lost something.  They don't have conservatism best interest in mind, and they've been playing the movement for fools.

Totally vacuous (5.00 / 1)
I mean where are you even getting this stuff?  Do you have something substantive and/or specific that you object to or is it all random accusations?  This is just like the left:  paint someone a villain and start calling names and then all the kiddies join in.

What makes you think that Andrew "made a killing"?  What did he tell people that they "wanted to hear"?  What stated principles of Andrew do you object to, or find disingenuous?

You seem utterly clueless to me.

[ Parent ]
I can see any (0.00 / 0)
attempt to explain myself would be like talking to a wall.

May I suggest reading Moby-Dick instead?

At some point Andrew made the jump from fierce citizen journalist, to listening to the perverse imp that eggs on egos, but is otherwise self destructive.

Both to himself and to the party.

Unless you think bankrolling O'Keefe is actually helpful outside of riling up the base.  The Dem's made the same mistakes in the 70's and 80's, & we're heading towards making then again.  Just look at Snowe jumping ship or the state of the GOP primary...

Those in power do need to be held accountable to the people.  But Andrews view that the ends justify the means was rather short sighted.

[ Parent ]
you can see you are talking to a wall because... (0.00 / 0)
because what, you've offered anything but unsupported opinion thus far?

you are like, making up your own story here.  No links, no facts, just some stuff that you either made up or maybe someone told you.  Or maybe you read it on a leftist site, I dunno.  That's why I asked where it comes from.

You think you are talking to a wall because your assertion that Andrew "bankrolled" O'Keefe is remotely true?  (then surely you can prove it or at least provide a shred of evidence, right?)

...although whether he bankrolled O'Keefe or not, together they did take down ACORN.  Not important to you?  Somehow this plays to the left and is descruictive to the right?

Huh.

New Hampshire Primary (4.00 / 1)
I briefly met Andrew Breitbart during the radio row put on by Talk Radio News Service during the recently passed New Hampshire primary.  I was helping produce the Ken Pittman Show as well as the Mid-Morning Magazine with Phil Paleologos with WBSM 1420 AM and in that capacity met Mr. Breitbart.

In paticular, it was Tuesday morning, probably around 10 or 11 am, I can't recall exactly but his show airs 9 am to 12 pm and a great multitude of famous pundits, policians, and others were flowing in & out of the packed room on the second floor of the Radisson.

To be precise, it was 2 connecting rooms and I recongized Breitbart immediately as he walked into ours.  I ran over to try to litterally drag him over to our table.  I almost literally ran into his assistant who stopped me to ask if who he thought it was actually was Michael Steele (it was) so I asked to confirm if he was with Breitbart.  The both pledged to come over to our table as they had a couple of prior commitments but true to his word, Andrew Brietbart sat next to me while Phil Paleologos conducted about a 15 minute interview for the listening audience of the SouthCoast.  It was a blast to sit nearby and hear the two of them banter back and forth about the all-important primary as well as our perpetual principles.

I met an impressive list of people during that radio row but it's surreal that just a little less than two months later we would be mourning the passing of Andrew Breitbart.

You can't put your leftist agenda aside even in the midst of his families tragedy.

Funny, you don't show the same bile for your president who has groveled at the feet of Islam as American Servicemen are killed in Afghanistan...

No, to YOU and your ilk, the evil resides in AB.

May God have mercy on you.

As I said a few posts down:

I'm wondering.....

How many women did AB drown?

How many women did AB violate?

How many drug addicts, alcoholics, rapists, cheaters, drunk drivers, murderers, etc... are in the family AB was "patriarch" of?

A special pile of human excrement.  Villain. Duplicitous bastard. Prick.

All this could be used to described Andrew Brietbart, I suppose, but this is how Brietbart spoke of Ted Kennedy in the hours after his death.

If you are afraid of the moratorium of speaking ill of the dead, I'm sure Andrew would wish that you would apply the same standard to him that he applied to Ted Kennedy and others. After all, Republicans are totally against special treatment for any group of people.

Peggy Noonan on Breitbart (0.00 / 0)
Even Peggy..........

It is not progress when you become what you hate, when you take on its sickest aspect.

Andrew and I talked about this that day on the plane. I agreed with his passion: We're in a big struggle, we have to fight. His argument was in a way like Flannery O'Connor's: You have to push back hard against the age that is pushing you. But he agreed too that politics can leave you twisted and deformed inside, that fighting those who would impose their will can leave you as consumed as they are. You have to be careful and not let political struggles take over your life, your affections-your soul.
