Crocker beats Stead (5.00 / 1)
With 2 towns reporting on the Lower Cape (towns Stead won by a combined 700 votes in 2008), Crocker leads by 629 votes.

Short of a miracle for Cynthia, the race appears to be over.

Manzelli to replace Barros (5.00 / 1)
Ric Barros who chose not to seek re-election, will be replaced by Fran Manzelli of Barnstable who appears to have bested fellow Barnstable Town Committee member Roland Gonzalez.  With 4 towns reporting, Fran is up by over 1,000 votes.

2nd Worcester (5.00 / 1)
Millbury:
Prunier 446
Mindy   276

Andersen 520
Knowlton 173

Auburn StateCommitteewoman
Prunier 490
Mindy   403

Plymouth & Norfolk (0.00 / 0)
Three way race for state committeeman

Duxbury
Bill Harris (Duxbury): 1151
Peter Buckley (Cohasset): 249
John Cafferty (Hingham): 171

Looks like change is winning so far...

John Cafferty was a great guy... (0.00 / 0)
...and worked hard.  I guess his district thought it was time to change.

John, thank you.

Bill, good luck!  and congratulations.

correction... (0.00 / 0)
....John IS a great guy.

And IMHO he wasn't the half of that districts team that needed to be replaced.

Harris surely didn't win. (0.00 / 0)
Here are the results I have gathered.

Can't find the Hull numbers - all I know is they cast 685 votes for President on the R ballot and the incumbent Cafferty is behind Cohasset's John Buckley by 472 votes across the district. This is between Cafferty and Buckley but my bet is that Buckley takes it. Surprising considering Harris did a lot of campaigning for this seat.

buckley probably won Hull (0.00 / 0)
I was at the polls almost all day in Hull, and there were only two signs there (one for Obama/Biden and one for Buckley for RSC).  A good number of voters seemed to come by on their way out and say they voted for Buckley.  Looks like Harris only campaigned online and in Duxbury from these results.  Might be close though, since both Buckley and Cafferty are from neighboring towns.

Barnstable has now reported.  Still a few towns missing, but with 50% of precincts reporting, Judy Crocker leads by more than 5,000 votes - 2:1.

Manzelli widened his lead with Barnstable in, to 2,500.   Both races, based on those results, are now official.

Merrimac Valley numbers (0.00 / 0)
Bill Ryan is on his way to winning re-election.

Dot Early is in a tight race vs Sheila Mullins.

Sholley was ahead of Conroy and Karl Nelson (who did at least two district-wide mailers...)

At the risk of repeating myself from FB (0.00 / 0)
Congratulations to everyone who won their Massachusetts Republican State Committee races yesterday! I look forward to working with everyone over the next four years. For those who are new, I hope to build a strong working & personal relationship with you. Welcome aboard! Please never hesitate to ask if I can ever be of assistance.

To those who lost tonight, especially my friend & colleagues over these past several years, thank you for your service. For the new challengers, thank you for putting your name on the line to serve our Grand Old Party.

For those who voted for me, even though I was uncontested on the ballot, I especially want to thank you. Your support means a great deal to me and I look forward to continuing to serve you for another four years. Together, let us advance our conservative agenda and elect our Republican candidates from the grassroots on up. YOU are the MassGOP!

Well Said Brock! (0.00 / 0)
As Republicans we are mature enough to accept our differences and work together.
That said, I hope you can give me a few minutes next Wednesday in New Bedford to advise me on how to reorganize my RTC after an election. Its our first time.

Thanks (0.00 / 0)
I'm sure we can chat for a bit before, or more likely after, the meeting.

Sholley? (0.00 / 0)
A friend of mine got a robo call saying Sholley had pulled out of the race?? Anyone know what's up with that?

Didn't get the robo call (0.00 / 0)
but I did find out last night that Earl had supposedly pulled out and endorsed Carl Nelson.  Earl won the election, so I guess it will be his option to serve.

Lisa Barstow (0.00 / 0)
Also Lisa Barstow defeated Susan Huffman in the race for the seat previously occupied by Jody Dowde (sp?) Both of these women are class acts, authentic conservatives. Susan would have been a great asset to the committee as Lisa will be. Congratulations to Lisa and let's hope that Susan remains politically active. She has a lot to offer the party.

Frank Ardinger beats Lance May in Worcester and Middlesex District (0.00 / 0)
I don't have numbers, but I have heard that Frank Ardinger of Leominster beat incumbent Lance May of Lunenburg in the Worcester and Middlesex district.

Many more State Committee results here (0.00 / 0)
