Breitbart.com launches multi-part investigation into Warren "scientific misconduct"

by: Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno

Mon Jun 11, 2012 at 21:52:22 PM EDT

Academic fraud based on false claims of heritage may be just the tip of the iceberg.  The Breitbart organization has just launched a multi-part investigative series on Elizabeth Warren's alleged early 1990s academic and "scientific fraud".

According to Breitbart.com after a 60 page rebuttal of her book was published in an academic journal, the University of Texas launched an investigation.  The investigation had never been made public.  The Breitbart team hints that they have the investigation, and it does not clear Warren.

This secret report was accepted by University of Texas President William Cunningham. For two decades, Warren and her co-authors have claimed in academic circles that this report--never before made public--exonerated them.

But the central charge made by Professor Shuchman was neither investigated nor refuted in this secret report. Shuchman cited four specific criticisms of the 1989 book. It is the fourth and last complaint upon which charges of scientific misconduct hang.

The series will continue over the next few days.

Twenty-two years later, Professor Shuchman's charges of "scientific misconduct" against Elizabeth Warren and her co-authors remain publicly unanswered and unresolved. These unresolved charges associated with her first major book raise continue to raise questions that hang over Elizabeth Warren's entire body of academic work.

The next three articles in this series will address the conduct of three institutions enmeshed in this scandal: The University of Texas, the National Science Foundation, and Harvard University.

The left's got a fee-vah and the only prescription is more Elizabeth Warren (0.00 / 0)

It's take two on progressive utopia, this time with a totally revamped messenger. Instead of banking on a young guy with a thin resume but loads of charisma and rhetorical talent to convince America to embrace Great Society II, they're banking on an older woman with little charisma or oratorical power but a long CV and an even deeper commitment than O to "economic justice." (One point in common between them: They're both into invented identity.) I think LI is right that her race against Brown, more than any other, will be used by the left as a hedge against the presidential election. If they win both, they'll be sky high; if Romney wins but Warren pulls it out in Massachusetts, they'll be bummed but excited to have her as the new de facto leader of the opposition in the Senate. And if both lose, that'll be total Waterloo. I can't imagine to whom they'd turn after that. Hillary in desperation? She'll probably lie low for a year or two after the election and, with no official soapbox and no looming presidential race, won't be well positioned to attack Romney. Progressives aren't big fans of hers anyway. Andrew Cuomo? He's a top prospect but it'd be hard for him to lead the charge in D.C. from Albany. Pelosi? She'll be yesterday's news if the GOP holds the House. Sherrod Brown? Sherrod who?

It's really Warren or nothing for the left if Obama crumbles. On that note, go read Michael Patrick Leahy's newest piece at Breitbart.com about her academic record. The story's moving on from questions about her ancestry but there are questions of other sorts popping up.

G.O.P. Growth. Opportunity. Prosperity. For all Americans.

Breitbart has done a wonderful job covering Elizabeth Warren. (0.00 / 0)
She is their lead story every day for the last month, which means people are reading it.  You don't keep a lead story on a major website unless people are visiting, reading and linking.

You watch, Elizabeth Warren's base is holding tight for now, but her numbers will begin to weaken as the months go on and her ridiculous claims to Cherokee heritage remain in the news.  She is taking a pounding day after day and her positives can't hold up for much longer.

Ed Markey is now the official 'cheapest' man on earth.  1.5 percent to charity while the average American gave 3 times as much...

It's been interesting, (0.00 / 0)
...watching the slow boil over at the other sand box, as the kiddies assiduously avoid discussing
Liz's pesky troubles and "distractions".
When in fact you you know the whole time that the veins are just popping out of their foreheads, and that
they just want to SCREEEEEAM!
