EB3: Probation grand jury still meeting in Worcester

by: Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno

eb3-fka-ernie-boch-iii, the anonymous voice of back-room Beacon Hill knowledge, just laid a bombshell over at Blue Mass Group.  Apparently, the federal grand jury is still meeting and getting testimony over the probation scandal.  Wait - I thought that was all over...

Anyhoo, too many people up the state house are having a miserable spring and summer because of visits to a federal grand jury in Worcester. The search for a crime and then suspects and then indictments continues.

Because this investigation resulted from an unethical mutually beneficial relationship between The S.J.C., Judge Mulligan, and the Globe, the feds fell for it and now are trying to get themselves out of this tar pit.

Remember how the first of the multi-part Globe Spotlight stories came out on a Sunday and the next day the SJC appointed a high powered lawyer with subpoena powers to investigate and stack the deck in favor of their own personal and professional ambitions and opportunities?

The feds thought they had a few indictments this past winter but according to Howie Carr the bosses in Washington may have nixed it. They couldn't see any crimes committed.

Can't wait for those half year OCPF reports to come out in July.  I wonder how much more the Senate President has spent with the "To you it's a witch hunt, to them you're the witch", law firm.  Or has Speaker DeLeo holed up at a hotel in Auburn, MA a few short miles from Worcester for a couple nights again, like he did in December?  Time will tell.
