"Fair Taxation" Rant: Warren didn't build that either...

by: Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno

Tue Jul 31, 2012 at 17:19:50 PM EDT

Last week, Professor William Jacoboson at Legal Insurrection noted that Elizabeth Warren and Barack Obama's words sounded an awful lot like another person's.  That person is progressive thought leader George Lakoff, who developed the whole narrative.  So those 990,000 views of her views on "fair taxation", yeah Warren didn't build that.

Our new Red Mass Group videography intern, Evan Kenney, took a look.

As a related aside, the Scott Brown campaign just noted that his video "Let America Be America Again" just hit One Million views on You Tube.

Wow, they are such frauds (0.00 / 0)
Is it laziness that this was not reported before? Nice find, thanks for the video.

She got her idea from someone else.... (0.00 / 0)
This is how liberals experience the world - thru books and testimony from someone else.

Liberals don't know about starting companies, because they have never done it.  They read books by someone who did and then they claim to be experts on the subject.  They hear stories about Cherokees, or people with high cheekbones, and then they claim to have suffered along side.  They hear stories about poor people, and then they formulate some textbook style theory that they think will help.  They don't actually know anything unless it has been taught to them by someone else.

Elizabeth Warren has never had an original thought/action plan in her life.  Her recipes are stolen from one person, her heritage stolen from another, her professorship stolen from another still.  She uses other people's quotes and willfully accepts the credit for herself.  It is disgraceful.  Yet the liberals line up as though they were witnessing the messiah and bow down before her with arms extended and wallets open.  It is embarrasing...

And has anyone noticed how Elizabeth Warren seems to have only 2 outfits to wear?  One is a red sportcoat and slacks and the other a blue sportcoat and slacks.  Really awful looking outfits.....  Almost every ad she has run pictures her in these two outfits....AWKWARD.....

We are headed for a 'Fiscal Cliff' and the country just elected a dope whose motto is 'Forward'.

Lakoff & Warren (0.00 / 0)
I read a little bit of his book about mathematics and its basis in the physical world. I liked the small amount I could take in. However I can't see it put into government policy, there are some things that just shouldn't be forced onto people.

It's instructive to understand how Warren and Obama are getting clobbered, because it can happen to either side:

First they single out not the Wall Street banker but broadly attack the business owner, the factory owner, the wealthy person, the successful person.

Second they make a very weak case for government infrastructure.

Third they leave the conclusions amorphous -- are they asking for higher taxes? Keynesian infrastructure spending? Who knows but whatever it is they want, it sounds expensive.

Fourth, they do not draw a strong connection between their societal goals and any problem we are having right now in our economy.

Finally and worst of all the tone is derisive, divisive and threatening, and not directed towards political opponents but a large chunk of the electorate.

My conclusion about Warren is that she is naive. She can easily be portrayed as a radical and a partisan bull in the china closet who will go to Congress and contribute to gridlock and not get things done.

I see what you did there.

Liz walks back her capitalism boast (0.00 / 0)
Liz Warren (D- Neverland) has admitted that her claim to be the savior of capitalism was "silly."  Even Liz, who has a great capacity to believe her own BS, had trouble telling that tale with a straight face.  The Herald has the story:

She was FDR for a moment in her own mind (0.00 / 0)
"Franklin Roosevelt succeeded in undercutting the growth of left-wing political movements in the mid-1930s by adopting much of the rhetoric of the left and co-opting many of its leaders"
