Retraction - Warren did not say Scott Brown Democrats are "Phonies"

by: Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno

Thu Aug 16, 2012 at 13:07:07 PM EDT

I just sent out the following email and I am sharing it here.

It is my goal to have accurate information on Red Mass Group.  This morning I sent out an email entitled "Elizabeth Warren Says Scott Brown Democrats are Phonies".  This was not true.  I used a title from a poster on Red Mass Group that has been with us for a long time.  I did not click through to his link and should have.  If I had done so, the link would have pointed me to the below.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/...

The Bloomberg article does not quote Warren OR her campaign.  It quotes a member of the Democratic City Committee in Worcester, regarding Connie Lukes.  It wasn't her campaign.

An editors note has been added to the original article and the title was changed.  In addition the story has been removed from the front page.

May I respectfully disagree.... (0.00 / 0)
The link claims that Warren SUPPORTERS dismissed the Brown Democrats as phonies - not Warren.  Also, as I indicated to the person that made the original accusation that there were no quotes associated with the headline, thusly it was not a direct quote, but rather a paraphrase based on the author's personal observation and understanding from reactions by the Warren supporters.

So I expect an immediate retraction of this retraction!

We are headed for a 'Fiscal Cliff' and the country just elected a dope whose motto is 'Forward'.

I realize now you changed the title of my post... (0.00 / 0)
If, in the headline of my post, I said 'Warren' instead of 'Warren Supporters' then I was wrong.  I apologize......

You see, I am big enough to say I am sorry when I misspeak about something.  If I said Elizabeth Warren called someone a phony then I was wrong, and I am sorry.  It would kind of be like if I said I was an Indian, and I am not, then I should be big enough to say I was wrong.  If I lied and said something like..., oh I don't know...., 'my parents eloped because my father hates Indians' then I should be big enough to say I was wrong and I am sorry.  That is one thing that makes a person honorable in life - being able to tell the truth.

People should tell the truth.  And when they are wrong they should be big enough and honorable enough to say 'I was wrong'.

We are headed for a 'Fiscal Cliff' and the country just elected a dope whose motto is 'Forward'.
