| 3. Progressives are in full panic mode
Progressives are in such a full panic mode about this election, that they are lying about others not lying. Then saying those people are. Case in point? Three short paragraphs from Paul Ryan's speech regarding the General Motor's plant in his hometown. Here are the paragraphs as delivered.
President Barack Obama came to office during an economic crisis, as he has reminded us a time or two. Those were very tough days, and any fair measure of his record has to take that into account. My home state voted for President Obama. When he talked about change, many people liked the sound of it, especially in Janesville, where we were about to lose a major factory.
A lot of guys I went to high school with worked at that GM plant. Right there at that plant, candidate Obama said: "I believe that if our government is there to support you ... this plant will be here for another hundred years." That's what he said in 2008.
Well, as it turned out, that plant didn't last another year. It is locked up and empty to this day. And that's how it is in so many towns today, where the recovery that was promised is nowhere in sight.
You'll see he first said the plant was closing during the Bush Administration, second said Obama promised he would save it, and three it closed a year later. All three of these things are demonstrably true.
Of course that doesn't stop our friends over in blue land from claiming otherwise.
It's sad really.
4. He's a Fightah
Last week Elizabeth Warren toured Arthur Ramahlo's West End Gym in Lowell. For those that don't know that is where World Champion Irish Micky Ward trained. Warren met with Ramahlo, and Dicky Ecklund, Micky's brother. She then sent out a fundraising appeal entitled "Fighter". The only problem? She only got the endorsement of the socialist mayor of Lowell, Patrick Murphy at that event, not that of Micky Ward.
Today Scott Brown will receive the endorsement of the Fighter himself, Micky Ward. It makes this native Lowellian proud.
5. Sixty Seven Days
There are sixty seven days left until the election. Have you blocked off time to call, or go door to door for Scott Brown or another GOP candidate this year. The unions, and "communtiy organizers" will be illegally coordinating with the Democrats like they do every year, and will have people out in full force. We need to match them person for person.
Dedicate some time today. |
