| 3. Free Beacon takes look at the Real Elizabeth Warren
The Washington Free Beacon, has taken a look at the "Real Elizabeth Warren" ahead of her speech tonight.
Harvard Law School professor and consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren will speak tonight before former President Bill Clinton at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Charlotte. Warren is running for a U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts on a platform calling for between $1 trillion and $3.4 trillion in tax hikes, and an ideology that "there is nobody in this country who got rich on his own."
Warren has a number of skeletons in her closet, including close links to radical left-wing pressure groups and a record of helping corporate interests suppress asbestos liability lawsuits.
"I'll be talking about working families. That's mostly what I'll be talking about," Warren told a reporter in Charlotte when asked about her upcoming speech.
Here are five things Warren won't be talking about:

4. Mitt Romney vs. Deval Patrick on Jobs.
In January 2003 the month Mitt Romney took office Massachusetts, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics had 3,223,000 jobs. In January of 2007 the last month of Mitt Romney's governorship the Commonwealth of Massachusetts had 3,272,000 jobs. That is a net job growth of 49,000 jobs. Romney took office in the midst of the worst jobs recession ever in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
When Deval Patrick took office in January of 2007 Massachusetts had 3,272,000 jobs. In July of 2012 Massachusetts has 3,249,000 jobs. That is a net loss of 23,000 jobs.
Mitt Romney grew jobs taking office during the worst jobs recession in Massachusetts history, Deval Patrick has lost a net 23,000 jobs. Those are the facts. Facts don't lie.
5. Joe Fitzgerald takes Warren to task
Joe Fitzgerald, not exactly the most conservative columnist, of the Boston Herald, takes Elizabeth Warren to task today.
Yes, we know she thinks Scott Brown is a Neanderthal because it's clear to her he has zero sensitivity to the needs and aspirations of women, despite the fact he has a glorious marriage and two accomplished daughters who think the world of their dad.
According to the snippy professor, now masquerading as a suffragette, Brown must be linked to the moronic likes of Missouri's Todd Akin, the Republicans' U.S. Senate candidate who babbled about "legitimate rape."
But please, she would beg you, do not suggest she bears any responsibility for John Walsh, her own state's Democratic chairman, who suggested only "girls" should fold the laundry in a properly balanced American home.
Surely that would not be fair. |
