If you have any doubt where the modern Democratic Party stands on God and Jerusalem, look no further than their platform which conspicuously omitted references to both.
After taking a lot of heat, the party did a not-so-quick about face today, restoring the deleted language. The platform change took three votes on the convention floor before the chair deemed that the required 2/3 supported the reinstatement. The vote inspired audible boos from the crowd.
