How do we respond to this post on BMG?

by: StartedoutRepublican

(While Warren's people are holding signs, Brown's team are knocking on doors all across the state, and making phone calls.  Let them believe what they want. - promoted by Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno)

I confess I check into BMG every day, as do many of us.

And this post reflected my worries about the lack of visability, although I am seeing more and more nice big signs for Scott in my North Shore area, but no overcrowded local headquaters.

Can''t we find some sign holders who won't embarrass us with war whoops?

Where’s Scott’s Organization? Sign of Weakness Should Encourage the Rogue Supporters

Maybe that’s what caused the anxiety in his voice last night. He saw Scott Brown signs tied to fences. Not in hands like the scores of Warren sign holders.

Where are the fans from two years ago? What the hell is happening here? He’s a U.S. Senator and he can’t turn out the bodies for a simple pre-debate sign holding. Tim Murray could do this blind folded.

Where are the headquarters overflowing with volunteers. What about the canvassing and phone calls? What happened? What’s changed in two years? Why can’t Scott get it going?

Scott's people have day jobs. Unlike union members and payroll (5.00 / 1)
patriots, Scott Brown supporters have a job. This is the problem and it remains one for Republicans in this state. The unions get to choose their bosses. It's baked in the cake.

I can't speak about the canvassing and phone calls but I do think Scott has the air war under control. I see a fair number of Scott Brown signs around but that might mean less than I think.

Overall BMG wants to believe in their alternative universe. They probably believed Warren won the other night.

"Work is the essence of Man."

Evenings and weekends? (5.00 / 1)
Phone calls from home? I do 5 phone calls a MTWT evenings - manageable for working people.  I get the list from headquarters, and I have pledged to make 3 contacts with 30 "leaning Scot") voters in my area between now and election day.

You can do it too.

Marx forgot to include welfare queens!

Lets get serious, if something is important you make the time.  Phone bank, take a few hours to canvas and register voters, talk to friends and family, hold a sign, ect.

Losers complain and winners get the job done.

Signage (0.00 / 0)
If anything, yard signage shows enthusiasm. And it seems to differ bigtime by town, and even the patterns are interesting. If you want intense enthusiasm, go to Walpole...signs everywhere.  For every 8 Brown signs, there's maybe 1 Warren sign.  And the Brown signs are usually combined with Jim Stanton (running for Rep against John Rogers), and even Romney signs.

Go next door to Norwood and there are John Rogers signs everywhere, but none of them are combined with Warren signs, and at least one lawn had a Rogers and Brown sign.  Saw the same thing in Marshfield with Cantwell/Brown on the same lawn. In Stoughton, yard signage is fairly low, but still 70/30 Brown/Warren, and several  of the Brown signs  are in front of small mom/pop businesses.

I think it's telling that Norwood, historically a middle of the road town, has so much enthusiasm for John Rogers, but Warren doesn't excite enough people to put her sign next to the Rogers sign, while Walpole (admittedly historically a red town)has enough enthusiasm to support Stanton, Brown and even Romney on the same lawn.

I can verify this (0.00 / 0)
I'm on the road all the time.  Brown signs absolutely outnumber Warren signs everywhere I go (my territory is pretty much everywhere east of Worcester).  I'd say, over all, its 60% Brown, 40% Warren.

Why would we want to respond to this post on BMG? (5.00 / 2)
I confess I don't check into BMG, but after reading this post I did review things over there. Wow, they really are obsessing over Senator Brown. Aside from a desperate plea to hold your nose and vote for John Tierney because he is a loyal Democrat, it's post after post about "Glass Jaw Brown", Brown's "hilariously bad moment", "Brown's staff's racist video", "the anxiety in his voice", etc.

I get enough of this twisted propaganda from the MSM daily, don't need to get the unfiltered version from BMG, and will not go back for more.

Why waste time trying to respond to BMG'ers? Who cares? Scott Brown has been successful, not only in bringing in independents, but also Democrats....even many Democrat officeholders for all over the state! I try to engage my customers in political discussion and I have a Scott Brown sign in front of my business. I see no Warren signs and have never met a Warren supporter.

It is ironic that people who ignore a woman lying about her heritage beginning at age 38 and continuing to do so, can generate such concern about 22 seconds of war whoops and tomahawk chops. Which case exhibits true racism?

LOL - Ah yes the BMG lawn sign test : ) But what about bumper stickers BMG? Hmmmm??? What about the bumper stickers? (0.00 / 0)
Dude, snap out of it.  If any one of us went to BMG and said the exact same thing we'd be laughed out of the room.

And EB3 usually writes pretty good posts but this one was thrown together in 3-5 minutes ... He needed something positive and this was his positive Warren story for today ...

I see like totally way more Warren signs than like Brown signs guys - EB3

This story makes one thing crystal clear, EB3 doesn't have much to work with these days if he's writing about lawn signs.  Now consider this ... 48 hours ago Warren was laughed at in the debate when she made the Lugar Gaffe.  How badly do you think EB3 wishes that was Brown?  How badly would EB3 want to write about his opposition being laughed at in the last debate instead of F-ing lawn signs?

The article is clearly written and every point is factual and is no-nonsense. I have surf the internet looking for topics such as these and it is here where I find it written and stated well.

What? (0.00 / 0)
"Where are the headquarters overflowing with volunteers. What about the canvassing and phone calls? What happened? What's changed in two years? Why can't Scott get it going?"

I don't know what Scott Brown HQ they think aren't overflowing with vols, but every one I go to is. I'm in the office making calls every week, mostly wednesdays, for the Senator's campaign. I can tell you first hand that every wednesday the office is overflowing with volunteers - mostly college students, as Wednesday is our MACR Call Night, but we literally make thousands of calls  with 30-50 college volunteers every wednesday night.

But, I suppose we don't need to prove BMG wrong at any other point than on November 6th.

Hey EB3! (0.00 / 0)
Long time no see! Of course I'm no a dyed-in-the-blue loyalist like you are. BMG has issues with people who tell the truth over there. All they are is a cheering bunch of blueberry kool-aid imbibers.
You see, instead of getting my giggles reading the comics page (BMG), I'm out working to re-elect the Senator.
Just a few weeks ago, I and my RTC gave regular Brown staffers and volunteers the night off. we passed out around 50 Brown lawn signs. I can personally attest to about a half dozen folks coming in off the street looking for lawn signs. I was happy to help them out.
Two weeks ago, I was the driver for Brown volunteers going door-to-door. We started with 25 signs. I saved 5 for friends. All are long gone.
Let me apologize for our poor showing in Lowell last Monday. You see, we're Republicans, we're supporting your lazy ass.  We WORK for a living. We can't pop out of work on a weekday afternoon to hold signs. But you gotta admit, at 6PM, it was getting pretty evenly crowded.
So, what are YOU doing? besides sitting on your fat ass blogging?
Just remember pal. I'm the most eminent blogger and election pundit in this state! The reason you're on RMG is we believe in the bill of rights. The only reason you're on BMG is because you kiss their overweight, protruding asses.

How do we respond to this post on BMG? (0.00 / 0)
I have an idea.

We tell EB3 that we thought we saw some new Elizabeth Warren lawn signs in Pittsfield, MA.  Then watch him as he gases up his hybrid and desperately races across the state with his clipboard still on the roof of his car.

The political economy of advertisement is the theory that a few powerful groups, or knowledge monopolies, control the thoughts, behaviors, and actions of the public through mass media as communication. As a form of communication, advertisement uses repeated verbal and visual images to develop and alter society. Thanks.
