South Shore Republicans will face attack

by: BrocktonDave

Sat Nov 15, 2008 at 15:39:50 PM EST

This article was sent to me today by a friend!

ABINGTON - John Walsh, freshly re-elected as chairman of the state Democratic Party, said he believes the party can do better than controlling 90 percent of the Legislature and every constitutional office.

"I anticipate there will be contests in 2010, and we're not shying away from those," the lifelong Abington resident said. "We're anxious to defend our record and our policies and to be aggressive in contesting some Republican seats."

Dont let this happen!

Help us South of Boston, we have a large part of the Republican contingent on the hill.

get involved in one of these groups.

Plymouth County Republican Club
GOP8

Help us build city and town committees with the help of the State Committee people in the district!

[hidden comment] I read "Help Us" twice in your short post... (0.00 / 2)
I thought Republcians stood for self reliance and not looking for hand outs.  You sound entitled because you contend South of Boston has a large Republican contingent.  Help yourself before you ask for a hand out...and if any Republicans from around the state offer help, watch out, that smacks of communualism...which is a short hop, skip and a jump into Marxism.

So (0.00 / 0)
you don't like conservatives, Republicans, or anyone else that doesn't think exactly like you do?

YEah....Republicans get elected in this country without asking for anyone else's vote....without asking for anyone else's help in running campaigns.....without asking for $$$$$.

...republicans either win with their one vote....or they're a communist....a Marxist.

......a dipshit lib with nothing to say.

That's a pretty weak argument (0.00 / 0)
That's a pretty weak argument. Rallying people to a cause is the American way. You will spend your life denouncing ideas and never offer a solution. That's the Democrats way!!!

Name a alternative solution the Democrats offered to the Iraq war?

Name a alterative solution to the 911 economic downturn other than the tax cuts?

I've never been offered an idea worth pondering from the Democrat party

ohhh, will this be 12 rounds or 15 ?? (0.00 / 0)

taking money from those that mad it and have it and giving it to those that didn't make it and do not have it.....isn't a perfectly viable alternative that will create a job for everyone and a plasma in every livingroom?

I wasn't sure where Marxism & Communism came in

Festus (0.00 / 0)
just likes to toss around the communist/Marxist label at anything he can construe on the conservative/Republican side as such.

He's a loon.  You a veteran that takes a veteran benefit....you're a socialist.

You go to a State University...you're a socialist.

You ask for help from Republicans in getting Repubicans in your area elected....you're a communist/Marxist.

Lotta logic missing, but whatever...he's got his hatreds to throw around.

Dont get bogged down or distracted by Festus!
Save your energy and ammo for windbag John Walsh!
The overrated hack who rode Devals coattails.
Plymouth County will be his Waterloo! 4 words for him-Bring it on!

Ha (0.00 / 0)
Would be nice if we were to litter the landscape of Plymouth County with the "completed" careers of fallen Dem incumbents in 2010.

I do think that there should be a challenger in every close seat (Calter's especially).

Waterloo... ha I like that!

Here's your list (0.00 / 0)
Sen. Marc Pacheco (D-Taunton)
Sen. Therese Murray (D-Plymouth)
Rep. Garrett Bradley (D-Hingham)
Rep. James Cantwell (D-Marshfield)
Rep. Robert Nyman (D-Hanover)
Rep. Allen McCarthy (D-East Bridgewater)
Rep. David Flynn (D-Bridgewater)
Rep. Thomas Calter (D-Kingston)

Pacheco's seat Was Held by GOP Sen. Parker and Sen. Wall for the better part of 50 years before 1992. Murray's seat was Held by GOP Sen. Kirby for the late 80's and early 90's. Bradley represents rapidly growing and Republican trending Hingham. Cantwell won this seat unopposed in 2008 despite it being left open. WHY????? This seat freakin' voted for Kerry Healey in 2006!!! Nyman, McCarthy, and Flynn represent districts that narrowly voted for Patrick, or voted for Healey, and Calter was nearly defeated by Olly deMacedo in 2006! (of Rep. deMacedo fame)

I would love to see on election day 2010, at least one of these Senate Seats, and two of the Rep Seats to fall to the GOP.
