Respect for CBS News? (5.00 / 1)

There is a large difference between liberal journalists and liberal cheerleaders.  Recently I've seen some evidence that CBS News wants to be the first type.  The other day I posted their story on the EPA global warming cover-up.  Today we get some actual questions the press corp.  

Dan Rather was among the worst of the worst.  Now that he's no longer in charge, this is something to keep an eye on.

After listening for a few minutes I feel like I need to take a bath.  The man refused to acknowledge that the question was about openness, and not about which questions were going to be asked.  If you control who gets in the meeting and you control who selects the questions then in effect, you control the questions.

I like the previous posters rarely agree with Helen Thomas, but when she makes a valid point I guess it doesn't matter who it comes from.  Overall, I think this gets more notice that if it had been from say Major Garrett of Fox.  It would just be dismissed as conservative whining.

I have to wonder why the recent change.  This along with reporting the buried EPA study makes me question whether either CBS either felt slighted by the Whitehouse, or they had some change in editorial personnel.  Did they just not invite Katie Couric to the morning meetings anymore ? :)

My personal conspiracy theory is they I think they wanted to do the "Rx for America" infomercial, but ABC got the exclusive.  Networks can get very cady about things sometimes.
