| This evening on Broadside with Jim Braude Republican consultant Todd Domke told Jim that former Massachusetts State Treasurer Joseph Malone is thinking of running for Congress in the 10th Congressional District. Domke stressed that Malone told him to relay the message to Braude.
In yesterdays special election Scott Brown won the 10th Congressional district 59.8% - 39.3% over Martha Coakley, Joe Kennedy got less than one percent. The 175,202 votes that Scott Brown received were 15% of his statewide total while Coakley's were just shy of 11% of hers. Brown outperformed his statewide average congressional district turnout, and vote total in this district.
Worth noting is that Brown's senior team, before they were Romney's senior team, were Malone's senior team. Eric Fehrnstrom, Beth Lindstrom, and Priscilla Ruzzo were instrumental in Malone's runs for Treasurer. The Brown machine is revved up and Joe Malone may reclaim them for his next run. |
