| The Massachusetts Republican Party today announced The New Majority recruitment drive for 2010 Republican candidates for state and federal offices. Republicans, together with independents, represent the new majority in Massachusetts - a state where by its own admission, the Democrat Party has lost its way.
This online initiative leverages Senator-elect Scott Brown's recent victory and anti-incumbent sentiment with a series Facebook ads, online banner ads, and other social media tools to take back Beacon Hill and Capitol Hill.
The MassGOP today officially launched a candidate recruitment form online, at www.massgop.com. A beta-version posted yesterday received 20 applications in four hours. (Form after the jump) |
| "Democrat legislators in Massachusetts act as though they're entitled to elected office, but the voters have rejected one-party rule," said Nick Connors, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Republican Party. "Democrats should be on notice: Voters will hold the party in power accountable for irresponsible spending, an out-of-touch agenda and unethical behavior."
The staff of the MassGOP will respond to each online application with information on how to run a campaign and an assessment of the district in which the individual has an interest in running.
When a potential candidate decides to run for elected office, the MassGOP provides assistance including candidate trainings, voter identification information, district information, message and campaign timeline development, incumbent voting records, as well as other opposition research.
