Brad Williams for State Senate

by: Mike "DD4RP" Rossettie

Wed Jan 27, 2010 at 16:41:18 PM EST

(I finished this post from yesterday.  Enjoy. - promoted by Mike "DD4RP" Rossettie)

BREAKING NEWS....

State Senator Marian Walsh announced today that she is not seeking reelection.  Marian Walsh was the subject of a controversy last year when Gov. Deval Patrick attempted to appoint her to a do-nothing job vacancy making $175,000 a year..  Her announcement will create an open seat in the Suffolk & Norfolk district.  Republican Brad Williams has already announced and has $7,005.59 cash on hand according to his 2009 year end report with OCPF.  Democrat State Representative Mike Rush is also running for the seat.  He represents the 10th Suffolk district and has $6,423.58 cash on hand.

Brad Williams first announced his intentions to run against Marion Walsh late last year in the West Roxbury Transcript.  More information can be found on his campaign website BradWilliamsForSenate.com or his facebook page.

The Suffolk and Norfolk district consists of "Boston, ward 18, precincts 7 to 20, inclusive, 22 and 23, ward 19, precincts 10 to 13, inclusive, and ward 20, in the county of Suffolk; and Dedham, Norwood and Westwood."  It will be a challenge for any Republican.  The towns are good, but Boston is still Boston.

Real Winner! (0.00 / 0)
Brad Williams is a great candidate who has the fire in his belly.  He is not afraid to get out and talk to the people and over the past few months has already been running a good campaign. I attended his kick off this past Tuesday along with about 100 others and got a chance to cheer him on. This is going to be a winner for sure!!!
