The Metrowest Daily News reports that Worcester County Sheriff Guy Glodis will announce on Monday that he is running for Auditor.
Worcester County Sheriff Guy Glodis, a former state senator, plans to announce his campaign for state auditor at a Boston press conference Monday, according to a press advisory e-mailed out today.
Glodis would be vying for the seat currently held by long-time Auditor Joe DeNucci, who has said he is not seeking re-election. Republican Mary Z. Connaughton of Framingham, a former Mass. Pike Board member and former CFO of the Massachusetts Lottery, has already announced she's seeking the auditor's post.
This shouldn't come as any surprised to loyal RMG readers! Glodis joins Republicans Mary Connaughton, Kamal Jain, and Earl Stroll in the race for Auditor.
State Rep. Lew Evangelitis recently announced he was running for Worcester County Sheriff likely in anticipation of it being an open seat race. |
