Lets all jump on the McKenna bandwagon because MARTHA HAS MET HER MATCH!

Now, we have a primary of sorts with two gentlemen running on stickers. I believe Mr. McKenna recently tried to call me and if that is so, I'll have to ensure that I return the call as events have prevented me from doing so over recent days.
I would've preferred both potential candidates to have come out of the woodwork in time for the normal process but that said, thank you to both of you for stepping up & may the more viable candidate win!
I heard Mr. McKenna on the radio the other day and he did okay, but was too ready to concede that running against Ms. Coakley is a longshot. It will be hard and challenging, but sounds too much like a concession before the race even begins.
So I would argue for measuring the two candidates and taking stock of strengths and weaknesses of each before jumping.
How about it Rob and Company, RMG debate on the write-in candidates?
There has been mention of Carbone running in various places (Holly Robichaud wrote something or mentioned him a month or so ago and Charley Manning spoke about him last week, I think). He has run before, maybe twice.
Better late than never to have two challengers.
Would be interested to here your thoughts as well as anyone elses on how exactly a sticker primary would work. 10,000 needed for the ballot but is it highest total wins but if both under 10,000 neither is on the ballot?
Thanks
Stickers must be printed, and with any luck, the organizers would get the name right, exactly as registered to vote and the proper address, or the campaign is invalidated. Stickers must be distributed to volunteers (or money raised to pay many people) who will have to be at the primary places to give them out and explain them to voters as they are passing by. "Who is he? Well, let me spend the next ten minutes telling you...). Time out here to think about the expected turn-out for the primaries, and how many voters each volunteer can corral on their way in the door. Agreeable voters must not lose or forget about the stickers before they get to the machines. Then they must put them in exactly the right place. Then the stickers must stay stuck through the machine and all the way to being counted. If through some miracle one of the candidates has 10,000 stickers in the right place still on the ballot, he gets to be the candidate to run against Martha Coakley, for whom many voters feel sorry because she was humiliated by Scott Brown.
And a few of you are about to spin your wheels on useless activity. Let me ask this: has ANYone in this discussion EVER run a sticker campaign -- for state rep (150), state senate (300?) Tell us exactly your plan for getting 10,000. Who has filed the committee to let you raise money to print and mail stickers?
I don't care what you do, am just telling innocent bystanders that there are far better ways to spend their time, in this year when it is essential that our legislative, governor, and congressional candidates win.
I helped reorganize my 8 year dormant RTC because I felt EVERYONE in the Republican party deserved a voice. Last December, I would have been happy if the Boston TV stations couldn't jump all over each other to declare Martha Coakley our next US Senator. In January, I felt the ground shaking. Son of a bitch! Scott Brown can win! I put my feelings on record on Blue Mass Group two weeks before the special election. I bore their slings, arrows, and personal threats. Oh my, do they hate me over there! In April, my RTC gave Kamal Jain his 15% margin to make a primary. I changed three members minds that morning. In May, our local RTC helped to turn a 12 year democratic incumbent from office. I wasn't sure Brian Ashmankas could win, but he was a Republican, and more importantly my friend. Now, about spinning wheels: Shall we all just give up on your cause to roll back the sales tax to 3%? I think there are far better ways to spend my time and money. Sam Meas and Tom Wesley for two. You tilt your windmill, I'll tilt mine. As my friend and mentor Brock Cordeiro constantly reminds me: Remember Reagan's 11th commandment. I'll still vote for your cause, I hope you'll consider voting for my candidate. Jim McKenna has values you'll readily agree with.
10,000 stickers is an incredibly HUGE endeavor.... improbable, but not impossible.
The sales tax rollback isn't my campaign. In fact, though of course I support a Yes vote, I wish Carla Howell wasn't doing it this year, because, like a 10,000 sticker campaign for AG, it distracts from the only thing that will make a real difference in Massachusetts -- electing more state legislative candidates -- or that will save the country -- electing some good congressmen. I hope voters don't think voting for the rollback takes the place of voting against the legislators who passed it last year.
I'm all for tilting at windmills (though what did the windmills do to you?), but not when there are real enemies coming over the hill, and viable candidates already, who can defeat them.
It's ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND little things. No, 200,000, since workers will be divided between the two sticker candidates.
See, this is a TOURIST area? And the RTC members have JOBS? And the time they DO want to spend will be for the candidates that have already been working for months?
Besides which - the VAST majority of votes in these primaries will be from independents who are Connaughton/Jain/Crocker/Steinhilber/Perry/Malone/Kasperowicz/Hayden supporters. And they aren't AT RTC meetings. Any plans for getting stickers to them?
IMO, the only reason these people are coming forward now is that they wanted to avoid paying the candidate fees in April in order to be nominated at the convention. And I'm not enthusiastic about that. Yr. Obedient Servant, Peter Porcupine, Republican
I will aide Mr. Mckenna as best as I can without giving up my time that I've already promised to other candidates. Alex S. Chairman of the Springfield RCC Mandate to Lead!!! lol
Write in efforts only have to show intent.
What the heck, let me know where you will be in two weeks I'm on vacation and don't want to be in the rain.
Maybe more sugar in your diet would help?
