| In the latest comical update of the Elizabeth Warren Native American scandal she tells reporters that she used it like Facebook.
From The Weekly Standard:
the Harvard law professor explained that she listed herself as "Native American" on school directories in the past so she could meet others "who are like I am." Genealogists have been unable to verify that Warren is descended from Native Americans, despite her claims.
So, according to Warren logic - listing yourself as a Native American on professional directories is kinda like using Facebook. You do it to get invited to parties and dinner engagements. Please tell me you ALSO find this both embarrassing and insulting. I am not even Native American and now I am insulted for them. Or maybe it would be better to liken her misguided use of her 1/32 heritage to Match.com? This is totally preposterous.
So at first she denied any knowledge of the incident and now she remembers that she did list herself, but she did it to advance her social well-being. As they always say, its not the crime - its the coverup. What you are seeing from Elizabeth Warren is a full blown coverup.
Elizabeth Warren used her tiny Native American lineage to advance her career in the academic world. She did so until she reached her goal of Harvard Law School, at which point she dropped off her minority status and pretended to know nothing about it. This is what all Americans should be offended by - the use of minority status for self-serving ends.
Clearly for Elizabeth Warren a person's lineage is not a matter of cultural pride - it is something you prop up when it gets you stuff - only to be tossed aside later when it might embarrass you.
Elizabeth Warren is a white person. She is as white as they come. Her deceptive use of Native American status is offensive and she should be called upon to withdraw from the senate race.
Instead, and quite predictably, she has already started to use another minority group to try and recover from this fatal screwup - women. She is now claiming that Scott Brown's call to tell the truth is an attack on women! When that proves untrue where will she direct her minority status next? Will she explain that the media is not treating her fairly because somehow she is a black American? Will she falsely claim she is disabled because she sprained her ankle as a child? Will she claim that people are picking on a veteran because she once sold girl scout cookies? What desperate claim will she make next? What minority status will surface from this, dare I say, Etch-A-Sketch candidate?
Time to go Elizabeth Warren! Let the other Democrat still in the race fight for the seat. At least they aren't a lying sack-a-gawea. |
