Five Things you should know today July 19, 2012

by: Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno

1. Mass Gaming Commission and Carl Stanley McGee

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission provided Red Mass Group with responsive documents.  Including a slew of documents that heretofore were denied Red Mass Group by Greg Bialecki.  These documents paint a less than rosy picture of the process.  Stay tuned to Red Mass Group over the next couple of weeks for a complete, behind the scenes, look at the controversy.

2. Win Big Wampum

The compact establishing the Wampanoag's right to build a casino in Taunton passed the house yesterday.  During the proceedings Representative Keiko Orrall gave her maiden speech.  The compact passed overwhelmingly with over 75% support.  The next step is for the Wampanoags to have the land they are looking to purchase be registered to them by the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs.

3. Kevin Franck opens mouth, inserts foot, deletes tweet

Speaking of Keiko Orrall, last night Kevin Kuros tweeted that she was giving her maiden speech.  Like Pavlov's dog to a ringing bell, Kevin Franck, the spokesperson for corruption the Massachusetts Democratic Party, quickly opined something to the effect of "what has she been doing for 10 months".  Paul Ferro quickly chimed in :

Franck summarily deleted his tweet.  Point Ferro.

4. Three STrikes passes

The three strikes conference report passed the house.  No word yet on whether Carlos Henriquez, Bob Deleo, and others voted present, on the mandatory mininum portion of the bill, given their possible conflicts of interest.

5. Michelle Obama vacationing at the farm sub-prime profits built.

Michelle Obama is visiting Sweet Pea Farm this weekend.  This is the extensive complex in Richmond, Massachusetts that Deval Patrick bought in part with his share of the profits of the sub-prime mortgage industry.  In anticipation of the visit, Deval Patrick apparently whined to get pot holes filled.

LET THEM EAT CAKE!

Why is it called Sweet P Farm when thee is no farm there? (0.00 / 0)
There are no animals.  There are no vegetables.  It is just a 7,500 square foot carbon munching footprint for Deval to spend his millions gained thru mortgage scams at his last job.

I guess Deval, like Elizabeth Warren and Barack Obama, calls things by names they don't deserve.  Elizabeth Warren calls herself a Cherokee, but she isn't. And Deval calls his mansion a farm - but it isn't.  Obama calls the private sector economy 'fine', but it isn't.

I thought words had meaning?

We are headed for a 'Fiscal Cliff' and the country just elected a dope whose motto is 'Forward'.
