Does Brown or Warren want my vote?

by: John Howard

Sat Nov 03, 2012 at 22:38:43 PM EDT

Just tell me you don't think same-sex couples should be allowed to try to make genetic offspring together, or that people should be allowed to change sex and then try to reproduce as their new sex.

Otherwise, I'm not gonna bother to vote Tuesday, because I seriously have no idea whether Brown or Warren is more likely to agree with me that people should only be created by joining a man and woman's unmodified egg and sperm together.

I think Brown would be more inclined to agree with you. (0.00 / 0)
That's just my hunch.  It's unfortunate neither campaign was able to answer you.

I think if you don't vote, (0.00 / 0)
...based on a single arcane issue, then your opinions about pretty much anything are not to be taken seriously.

It's the "Civil rights issue of our time" according to Biden (4.00 / 1)
If Brown loses, the Republicans are going to see that I never voted, and maybe conclude that lots of other people didn't vote for the same reasons: he's made too many pro-choice, pro-gay, anti-marriage moves to the middle, after being reliably conservative and straight-talking on marriage as a state Senator. His "Scalia" response was perhaps supposed to be a dog whistle for social conservatives, but it's the President that appoints justices and he said he would have voted for Kagan if she'd had courtroom experience, so...

Last week Joe Biden called transgender discrimination "the civil rights issue of our time." And I agree, but the civil rights in question are the right to marry and have sex and procreate as the sex we were born as with our unmodified genes. And the right to be born from natural human origins and not manufactured on demand with lab-created genomes. It is really the same issue as slavery, whether we believe all people are created equal and have equal rights and dignity, or in contrast, take a materialist view of humanity that is based on people just being bodies to be imported and bought and sold.

Biden perhaps was only talking about workplace and housing discrimination, perhaps he doesn't know that people demand a right to make biological offspring with someone of the same sex and to be allowed to reproduce as the other sex.

Vote "John Howard - EggandSperm.org" (0.00 / 0)
That's what I've been doing when I can't decide on a particular race.  Been doing it the last couple elections Dude!

Never hand in a blank ballot!  There is always someone out there that can do better!
