More Obama Layoffs....

by: Vote3rdpartynow

Private enterprise truly loves Barack Obama and his policies.  All these layoffs announced or begun in the last week.

Energizer Battery will close 3 manufacturing facilities including the one in Maryville MO.

The plan includes the closure of two other battery manufacturing and packaging facilities. The company will cut 1,500 jobs from its global work force, with the hopes of saving approximately $200 million.

Medical Device maker Stryker will lay off 1,000 by the end of the year.

The new Medical Device Excise Tax, enacted in 2010 as part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, imposes a 2.3 percent tax on medical device manufacturers like Stryker. Previous estimates say it could cost the industry $20 billion.

Orlando Health to stage largest company layoff ever starting immediately. 400 people.

NBCUniversal will layoff 450 people nationwide.

Texas Instruments 1,700 jobs worldwide. 500 in Texas.

Smithfield Foods in Virginia to close plant and lose 400 jobs.

Kaiser Permanente, one of the nations' largest HMO's announces 530 layoffs in southern CA.

Especially insulting are the 2 solar companies that got $84 million in Energy Department tax credits have announced layoffs.

A Bradenton Florida ambulance manufacturer is laying off 325 people.

Columbus Indiana engine maker Cummins Inc starts layoffs of 1,500 worldwide.  Hundreds at their home office.

2,500 from Xerox to lose jobs.

Trust me, the list could go on forever and ever....

All of the above links are to companies who have either announced layoffs in the last week, or have begun the process of layoffs.  All of these companies have been planning these layoffs for a while - so why didn't they announce before?  What were they hoping for?  Why did they think something might change?

Does Obama own these layoffs?

I'd love to comment on the Obama Recession (0.00 / 0)
However there has been a steady stream of moonbats like Simple J Malarkey and Matt The Lefty who have been bullying people on this blog.  So I'm afraid to comment.

If I had a blanket Festus (0.00 / 0)
I'd use it to wrap up a bottle of milk, a loaf of bread, and some other provisions. Then I'd tie it to a stick and hand it to you and say shove off!

[CROWD GOES WILD] YEAH R4!  YEAH!!!!

[PATRICK] "Oh SNAP"

[EaBo] That's my intern!  Best intern I ever hired!

[Brock from his vacation] The sun and the beaches here are great!  But not as great as R4's last comment!

Ed Markey is now the official 'cheapest' man on earth.  1.5 percent to charity while the average American gave 3 times as much...
