Congratulations to Mark Townsend, State Committeeman-Elect

by: BNCordeiro

Wed Dec 12, 2012 at 22:13:04 PM EST

Congratulations to State Committeeman-Elect Mark Townsend!  Mark, chairman of the Carver Republican Town Committee, was elected to fill the vacancy in the First Plymouth & Bristol State Senate district.  Mark's election will be ratified at our next State Committee meeting in January at a date, time & location to be announced.

Thank you to Mark Swan of Wareham for his spirited race.

Both gentlemen are a credit to the Massachusetts Republican Party and sought to succeed long-time activist & State Committee member, Bill Nickerson.

The caucus, held at a Knights of Columbus Hall this evening in Bridgewater, was very well attended and immediately afterwards was followed by the Bridgewater RTC Christmas Party.

BNCordeiro :: Congratulations to Mark Townsend, State Committeeman-Elect
(Of course the correction below is well, correct. The sad thing is that I actually Googled Mark Swan to verify Wareham, and I did, and I still made the mistake of typing Middleboro, which I've since corrected above).

Wareham, not Middleboro (0.00 / 0)
Mark Swan is from Wareham, not Middleboro. Just a minor note. The caucus had around 100 people and 65 ballots were cast.

Adverstise here for as low as $60 per week.
