I would love to see each of you post a 5 minute or so video to Red Mass Group so that the rest of us know what you stand for an how you plan on uniting the party.

Excellent idea Millie......!!! (0.00 / 0)

Ed Markey is now the official 'cheapest' man on earth.  1.5 percent to charity while the average American gave 3 times as much...

Nice Idea, If (0.00 / 0)
The candidates are actually willing to engage with people on the blog when they pose questions to them.  The one candidate/team has posted numerous times here so far but have yet to respond to a single question posed by readers.  Dump and run blog posting does us no good.

What might be a better format would be a series of debates where the candidates could come and respond to questions from an audience of local activists and SC people.  That way we can hear what they are proposing and ask questions that will get heard by the voters, in this case the SC members.

But they don't need us ConsEph (0.00 / 0)
We can't vote for them, we are weak ... and they are big and strong.  We could send Patrick in first and if he doesn't come out alive ... we can then ask for volunteers?  But I'm not going in there!

While we wait and see how Patrick does encouraging an active dialogue.

I agree, the SC can do whatever they want, they don't have to listen to us, or even Patrick!  However, there is a number of special elections already scheduled and others on the horizon and the SC will be looking for donations of time and treasure so I think many will be more open to listening to our opinions than normal.  Heck, my SC even called to ask about endorsing a candidate before they did so and I am certain that I was not the only call.

So yes, I think that there is a chance to influence things and have people listen to you, especially if you are assertive and respectful.

The SC members would like to see them in action (0.00 / 0)
They need to demonstrate how they appear on camera, because the Chair is occasionally called on for statements and soundbites. So they have to be reasonably presentable and articulate, or else they'd be a joke. A video would be a good demo before the SC votes.

revamp (0.00 / 0)
lets revamp the State Committee / Chair process.  Lets raise the stakes and lets get the local town/city committee votes.

Millie - there are some aspects of town committee organization... (0.00 / 0)
...that are actually under the purview of the MGL rather than the party itself.
