OK who's going to step up? Sen Hart (D-Southie) is leaving. Where's the GOP?

This is the perfect place to start a GOP urban strategy. Who's stepping up? Who has a plan? Any suggestions? The Sixth District is the culturally suited (relatively) for a conservative candidate.

Within the past few hours (5.00 / 1)
Just within the past few hours I've seen some emails from various State Committee members discussing this seat, potential candidates, etc.

This post is a disappointment! Nothing against you Karl! (0.00 / 0)
This is why I can't stand the 2 choices we have for MA GOP Chair.  I feel like this post should have been written by both Green and Hughes ... nothing against you Karl!

I mean why am I hearing about this from Karl?

Southie may be in this district (0.00 / 0)
But so is most of Dorchester (including the tough parts) and Mattapan. Scott Brown won Southie, but still lost this district almost by 40% in 2010.

(R)- Outside 495

Actually A Tough District (0.00 / 0)
This district is viewed as a Southie district, but encompasses parts of Dorchester, Mattapan and Hyde Park in addition to Southie.  It is possible, even likely, that, for the first time in over four decades, the district will be represented by someone living outside of Southie.

It is a race the Mass GOP needs to contest strongly, but as MerrimackMan pointed out, the district is really, really tough for a conservative outside of Southie.  But we must make a serious challenge as it is possible, even likely, that the election will coincide with the US Senate special.

Get on your track shoes, the sprint is starting.
