Embattled candidate for MassGOP State Chair Kirsten Hughes faces fresh questions about embellishments of her resume.
On her campaign website, Ms. Hughes, a Quincy City Councilor first elected in 2011, claims, quote:
Currently serving on the Quincy City Council, Kirsten became the first woman elected to the position in the city's history.
However, a review of election results posted on the Quincy City website clearly indicate Margaret Laforest, whom Hughes currently serves with, was elected at least two years before Ms. Hughes, in 2009.
It is unlikely Ms. Hughes failed to notice her colleague over the last year, making her claim doubly baffling.
This, coupled with recent questions regarding her past voting record, and her weak record on taxes casts further doubt on Ms. Hughes ability to effectively counter the Democrat Machine in Massachusetts. |
