by: Laurel

UPDATE:  SO much for the scoop.  Good fake out, McCain campaign!

McCain VP scoop: MN Gov. Pawlenty.

Don't forget - you heard it first from the progressive pro-choice married lesbian. :)

How do you know? (0.00 / 0)
And lets be clear no one is slighting you for being a lesbian or a married one at that (far as I can tell) nor even for being pro choice.

Being "progressive" on the other hand...

That term to me either means progress along the marxist path or simply flight from yet another term for liberal to yet another term for liberal.  (Liberal itself used to be a good thing ya know)

Well, I don't know, I "know". (0.00 / 0)
If you know what I mean.  That is, the news dribbles seem convincing to me.

I appreciate your comments above, as they are not shared by many of the RMG denizens.  So I thought I'd just have a little fun with y'all by saying that.  As for being liberal, I think liberal is a fine term and a fine thing to be.  I think of progressives as activist liberals.  But my definition may vary as times change.

Well, (0.00 / 0)
I mean its not hard to pick the frontrunner and say you heard it here first, after all who can imagine it being Romney?  I like the guy but he is simply not popular enough.  And its a damned shame there isn't a heavily qualified woman around OH CRAP DID I JUST SAY THAT WOOPS anyway so yea who here is giving you crap about being a lesbian?  I must have missed it.

[ Parent ]
You've missed it? (0.00 / 0)
It'll be easier to ask you to just keep a sharp eye in the future than for me to dig up old posts.  The anti-gay bile on these pages has at times been astounding.  And the complicit silence of others in its presence is disappointing.  But I didn't exactly expect full welcome on a conservative blog.

Wow (0.00 / 0)
I thought you could have at least offered an example!

Perhaps you are confusing politics that are at odds with your own, with bias against you as a lesbian?

[ Parent ]
Nope. (0.00 / 0)
Perhaps you a) choose not to believe me and are yanking my chain right now or, b) haven't been paying attention.

R.I.P. Liberty?

[ Parent ]
Its not (0.00 / 0)
that I can't believe you, its just that it would be so easy for you to provide some examples, and you won't.  That coupled with your recent umm partisan habits make me ask the question.

Hey I dunno if I wasn't stuck with / fleeing the Obama speech at this moment I would have already dropped it

Another Pawlenty sign... (0.00 / 0)
On Fox News, a Senior McCain Adviser (a woman with a long, wierd name) said they were not telling...but then let it "slip" that she was flying to Minneapolis for tomorrow...hmmm, I wonder why.

I agree with you.  ouch that hurts.  Let's just say I'm pretty sure it's pawlenty.

Full Disclosure

LOL don't worry EaBo, (0.00 / 0)
we agreed once on something before, and both survived.  In a way I hope I'm wrong.  Because although I've been saying I really wanted Willard to be the pick, deep down I was hoping he'd choose Paris.

The folks at Redstate... (0.00 / 0)
...are pushing the Pawlenty rumor as fact.

Lets just say I'm 95% certain (0.00 / 0)
it's pawlenty.

Full Disclosure

[ Parent ]
I don't know why everyone is so surprised (0.00 / 0)
I've been saying it's going to be Pawlenty for VP all along.

BREAKING: Pawlenty won't be in Dayton today, says "was honored to be considered"

Gov. Tim Pawlenty said this morning that he will he not be in Dayton, Ohio, this morning and strongly suggested that he won't be John McCain's running mate.

"I'm going to be at the [Minnesota] state fair," Pawlenty said on WCCO just minutes ago.

"I will not be in Dayton, Ohio, so I think that's a fair assumption," he added in an interview with the Twin Cities radio station, when asked if this was an indication that he would not be chosen.

He added: "It was an honor to be considered."

Asked if he was relieved "that the whole thing was over," he joked: "I'm glad you guys will quit following me around so much."

"Never Head of Michael Graham." - Gabriel Gomez.

Just a garden variety instance of being a progressive (5.00 / 1)
and wrong.

Heh heh.

Looks like I'm in good conservative company! (0.00 / 0)
