Communist China calling Obama out on Socialism (0.00 / 0)

Hard to believe that Communist China thinks President Obama's Socialist agenda might not be the best path for America.  

As President Barack Obama prepares to depart Thursday for his first Asia trip, Chinese premier Wen Jiabao is urging the U.S. to keep its deficit to an "appropriate size," a clear message to the leader of the world's largest debtor nation from its largest creditor.  

China is the largest holder of U.S. government debt and has invested an estimated 70% of its more than $2 trillion stockpile of foreign-exchange reserves (the world's largest) in dollar assets, Reuters reports. Further dollar weakness, brought on by enormous U.S. deficit spending and near-zero interest rates, would erode the value of China's huge U.S. holdings, as Henry and Aaron discuss in the accompanying clip.    

"Most importantly, we hope the United States will keep an appropriate size to its deficit so that there will be basic stability in the exchange rate, and that is conducive to stability and the recovery of the global economy," Wen Jiabao said over the weekend at a news conference in Egypt.

 But have no fear, the Obama economic wizards know what they are doing.  In fact, look at what they have accomplished so far.

I Think Obama is Losing It (0.00 / 0)

The statements made in the interview are so directly contradictory to his actual actions that it makes me think that Obama is losing it.

Most people in the limelight know that the internet allows one to fact check past statements.  Its not like the olden days when you had to have a huge archive of newspapers and the Readers Guide to Periodic Literature.  Any yokel with a PC can do it now.    

It is increasingly that Obama is out of touch with reality.  Your post points out this cognitive dissonance.

I'm not suggesting that we are at the Hitler in the bunker stage of detachment from reality or even Nixon in the depths of Watergate.  Well, not yet at least.
