Coakley uses Rush Limbaugh is a Nazi imagery to attack Scott Brown

by: Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno

Mon Jan 11, 2010 at 22:02:54 PM EST

(Promoted to remind you of what the Dems are trying to do again. It didn't work in 2010 and it isn't going to work now.

Update: Democratic thought leader David Kravitz of Blue Mass Group cheers the Nazi reference.

The left is contemptible. - Thanks for the spell check David. - promoted by Rob "EaBo Clipper" Eno)

Martha Coakley has used imagery of Rush Limbaugh to intimate that both he and Scott Brown are Nazi's.  Coupled with the title of the ad "Lockstep" the imagery is not to be missed.

The screengrab above is from the seven second mark of the advertisement.  It shows Rush Limbaugh with his hand raised in a seemingly Nazi Salute. Martha says in the beginning of the Ad that she approves of this message.

My question for Martha is, "Do you think Scott Brown and his supporters are Nazis?"

Desperate or Typical? (0.00 / 0)
Coakley and her folks have been so quick to dismiss the recent polls, but they have to be sweating a little. Either this recent shot below the belt is out of desperation or they've been planning it anyway.

Neither explanation sits well with me.

And I wish she'd stop robocalling my house and even my wife's cellphone.

Personally, I can't wait for this to be over.

Incoherent (0.00 / 0)
This is really an odd ad comign from a candidate who is still supposedly confident that she is going to win. It's just a wild-eyed swing at Brown that makes no sense. Neither Cheney, bush, nor Limbaugh are in "Washington". And as a social conservative the whole "Should abortion be allowed in the instance of rape?" argument is so overblown and insignificant it's disgusting to be brought up. If people knew how rare it is that a woman has been impregnated in the act of being raped they'd be shocked.

Everyone's a liberal until they get their first paycheck.

new ad (0.00 / 0)
This ad is most likely the work of the national DNC campaign person who was sent from DC to take over Coakley's campaign.

Expect to see more of the same.

I always recall Al Franken (before he was Sen Franken) doing
a Weekend Update analysis of negative political ads - with "Ted Kennedy - He's a Big, Fat Drunk!" and "Dianne Feinstein - She's a Jew!" with the same ominous music playing in the background as in Coakley's ad.  Hmmmm....

(here's a link to the transcript of that bit: http://snltranscripts.jt.org/9...

If this is intentional (0.00 / 0)
I wonder if this may cost them #60 regardless of who wins.

I do not see Joe Lieberman responding well to these types of ads used in any campaign.  That it is in the state next door and for the seat formerly held by Ted, someone he worked well with for many years, could be even more infuriating.

Tasteless, vile and very unbecoming of the candidate who has another ad saying she is accountable to me.  Well I want to know if you did this on purpose and what are you thinking?

This coming from Eabo who compares Obama to Hitler... (0.00 / 1)
You have directly compared the President of the United States to Hitler.

And now you get all rabid about ONE SECOND of video to accuse Coakley of using Nazi "imagery".  You are such a pathetic example of someone who will say anything thing to advance your agenda, no matter how false and ridiculous your assertions are.   You and you union "thugs" bogeymen have more in common than you care to admit.

I don't think socialist is a dirty words to LIBS anymore...the sentiment I hear is that when LIBS react to it, is that those who use it (from the right) just misunderstand it..some wear the term with pride.  They'd be perfectly happy living in a European style socialist country.

Don't misunderstand my words...they absolutely reject the racial component of some previous socialist movements.  My observation is they substitute wealth as their bogeyman.

Every successful political movement needs an enemy.  For the GOP it's liberalism and social entitlements....for LIBS it's the rich and powerful.  It's just different versions of class warfare....just a big political version of labor vs management (with the real money and power funding whoever will get them the best deal).

The pendulum swings both ways...once the economy bounces of the bottom a coupe of times and back down, and unemployment stays high, people say enough of giving my money to other people.  And the cycle comes back around again.

Martha & republicans (0.00 / 0)
I have had the form for a few months but didn't send in until Thursday, I am still a republican at heart, but decided to become unenrolled in MA.

Martha scares me, the dems scare me as much as the Obama admin scares Scott Brown. I loved it when Scott told Martha that she's running against him, Scott Brown, not Bush/Cheney.  Scott telling them that this is the seat of the citizens of MA, not "the Kennedy seat" was another good one.

Expect more smears from the Coakley and DNC, that is the way they do it. I see that you referenced Hillbuzz earlier today. I did not think I would like that site, but I got the link from RedState.com when they apologized to the Bushes for their service to this country.

That was a good one from Scott (0.00 / 0)
I loved it when Scott told Martha that she's running against him, Scott Brown, not Bush/Cheney.

Especially since he seems to enjoy twisting history to compare himself to a President who hasn't been in office for 50 years.

Actually, (0.00 / 0)
what you and the rest of the knee-jerkers fail to understand is that he compared a specific IDEOLOGY he has with the same specific IDEOLOGY of a certain President from 50+ years ago.

You are certainly not the target demograph for that particular ad, Dippy.

"I acknowledge having racist and classist and sexist feelings of white male superiority." -John Howard

[ Parent ]
Dippy? That's nice. (0.00 / 0)
How about context to that ideology?

The top earners were being taxed at 91% and 92%, not 35% (or arguably 39.5%).  It is a distortion of reality to suggest they are along a similar ideology.

[ Parent ]
Go on (0.00 / 0)
Put it more context.  Top earners are paying more than 60% of their total income to either the Federal, State, or local government now (and the expenses to private sector created by government mandates).

Oh, it won't show on their 1040 form now.  It goes in the form of increases in state taxation, additional municipal taxation, increased consumption taxes on things like fuel,  electricity, communications (many of which did not exist until recently), state & local fees and then add in all the costs to maintain things like health insurance, vehicle insurance, liability insurance, legal fees, education (absolute requirement that used to be a luxury)...all of which were created by government mandates and a lawsuit happy society, and really it's not that much of a spread.

I'd grant anyone that the marginal rate payers are paying a lower rate now than then (nowhere near a 60% difference), but as a percentage of population they were far fewer high end payers then there are now, and as a state & country more and more disposal income is being eaten up...just not on the 1040....and more government shifts more and more to the middle class.

You want to go after CEOS and Wall St A-holes that get insane bonuses and capital gains, fine with me, but let's stop pretending that 250k is rich...because it isn't.   And that is the message that is being sold by the current administration.  The Bush tax cuts did help the evil rich people, but they also helped people like me who are just trying to keep food on the table and a roof over my kid's head.  Every dollar I have no choice in spending/saving as I see fit is a tax by any other name.

Suffering Battered Voter Syndrome since 8/31/1981

[ Parent ]
Make that (0.00 / 0)
logic-free Dippy.....and no, I'm not nice.

The income tax rate of the top earners is an irrelevant red herring you've been manipulated to toss out like it means something outside your echo chamber.....other than removing all doubt of your ignorance.

It says nothing of the ideology that "lowering taxes boosts both jobs and the economy" that JFK and Brown both share.

....and only an ignorant Dip would pretend that income taxes are the only taxes that can be lowered.  Corporate taxes?  Capital gains taxes?

Yeah, you sure had some stupid shi'ite to say, Dippy.

"I acknowledge having racist and classist and sexist feelings of white male superiority." -John Howard

Comparison? (0.00 / 0)
Let us do a comparison, check the facts and you decide. I do not want to jump to conclusions without checking the facts.

Look at NSDAP, composed by Adolf Hitler and Anton Drexler, the union labor party, The Nazi Party. Well right from the start the union labor party seems to have something in common with culture of corruption Coakley.

So here is the NSDAP to look at

http://www.hitler.org/writings...

#9 All citizens shall have equal rights and duties

Martha Coakley strikingly similar

#2 Equal Rights and Opportunity - Martha Coakley believes our democracy is based..

http://marthacoakley.com/about...

Look at NSDAP, #13 We demand the nationalization of all (corrupt) businesses which have been formed into corporations

Martha Coakley strikingly similar

#3 Martha believes the best way to get our economy back on the right track is to tackle the economic crisis head on and to take all necessary steps - ravaged by risky investments, unfair tactics, and market uncertainties. By making bold and wise (government?) investments in health care, energy and education..

http://marthacoakley.com/about...

However, I could continue but it is up to you decide if there is any more similarity

http://marthacoakley.com/about...

But, do not stop there, take a look here for some more similarity here

http://www.marxists.org/archiv...

# 2. - A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.-, right from The Communist Manifesto. Yet now we have on federal income taxes, top 5% pay 53.25% of all income taxes, the top 10% pay 64.89%, the top 25% pay 82.9%, the top 50% pay 96.03% and the bottom 50%, they pay a paltry 3.97% of all income taxes. - Tax the rich - such a typical democrat party line yet they accuse their opponents of tax cuts for the wealthy.

Then there is the political spectrum of less government on the right and more government on the left. Fascism Socialism Nazism Communism all belong on the left. Culture of corruption Coakley has made it clear that she is on the left many times. Brown has said he is less government, on the right, the opposite of culture of corruption Coakley.

Correct me if I am wrong, if status quo Coakley wants to make a comparison to Nazism it seems that, she has more in common with Nazism then Brown.

haha (1.00 / 1)
This is nothing more than complete conjecture based on a single blog comment.

Before calling the left "contemptable" ...

When elected Senators from your own party have to come out and call this ad disgraceful, it certainly says something.

But please, spin your tires on this weak argument, it certainly won't help come Tuesday.

Thought it was a perfect opportunity to show the same tolerance and understanding given to opposing voices in your forum.

You must be desperate to come and troll over here.  It's sad really...the DEMS put forth with a marginal DA as the front runner, in a state rampant with corruption, to support a national agenda fewer people want.  The voters respond accordingly and the response from the supposed party of intellectuals and social justice?...applaud when their candidate resorts to gutter tactics. Very classy.

The insanity that erupts when the "entitled" feel a threat to their supposedly superior views would be funny if it were not so sad.

Carry on.

Oppps...I better check my spelling and grammar....I know that's a particular pressing issue in all the high brow discussions your accustomed to being involved.

Well at least in part.

I paid rent for my fraction last April 15th (expense second only to a mortgage).  And speaking as a citizen, I'd really like to see it put to better use in the future instead of being perpetually shined with the butt of some con man whose main goal in life (when not sliding out of it from intoxication)  was to dream of ways to increase the rent of said seat.

Note on the ratings system (5.00 / 1)
The system we use on RMG is slightly different.

You can "zero rate" a comment all you want but it will not remove the comment like on BMG.

So the rating system doesn't mean nearly as much here.

Martha Coakley's Campaign Playbook (5.00 / 3)

"I supported President Obama in 2008." - Gabriel Gomez

Obama is a Nazi? (0.00 / 0)
This is typical Alinsky antics, the means justify the end, it teaches ridicule and bullying is your most powerful weapon and Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer, the great community organizer, sound failure, a community organizer. This also follows Marxist socialism that poisons the whole fabric of the society. Marxist socialism baits people with welfare, liberation theology, equality and more. It deliberately makes everyone an accomplice to its crimes, if you fall for the Populist Bandwagon you are an accomplice, you are hooked and it would be almost impossible to admit to the crime. Don't confuse populism with popularity, populism is a recruitment tool used by socialists, populism is class warfare and more.  This is what Democrats seek, destructive propaganda for political power as prescribed by Marx.

Instead of something imaginary, look at the historical facts. Anton Drexler at a workers union meeting said, "I am a socialist like yourselves, and want manual workers to gain equality..." and with this, the Union members bought in to the populist rhetoric ignoring what direction this was going to take them. Former locksmith Anton Drexler and Karl Harrer founded the German Workers Party (DAF). Adolf Hitler joined The German Workers Party making a note of his similar ideology to gain power and with Hitler being a distinguished speaker who drew large crowds. Anton Drexler and Adolf Hitler went on to write the 25 points of the Program of the NSDAP - The National Socialist Workers' Party from a Labour Union. They created the German Labor Front and on that day the Nazis seized the Free Trade Unions, they publicly announced a "united front of German workers" with Hitler as honorary patron. At the time, most were in economic depression and welcomed the newly found nationalism and wealth, a Populist Bandwagon was created. Then an "Aryan paragraph" was installed, and all Jews and any others were expelled as Citizens and were labeled dissident. The most notable organizations that had to follow this procedure were the unions. The vanguard program of The National Socialist Workers' Party was "national interest before self interest" (anti individualism) and the same words spoken by Andrew Stern at a workers union meeting, former president of SEIU, close friend of distinguished speaker President Barack Obama and most frequent visitor to The White House. Andrew Stern, a socialist that wanted "workers to gain equality." This is not the agrarian movement most socialists seek, this is historically the path toward fascism.
